Overview

Connect Apple Health to automatically sync your workouts, HRV, sleep, and other health metrics to SteadyState. This integration is available on iOS only.

What Syncs from Apple Health

Workouts

  • All workout types (running, cycling, swimming, strength, yoga, hiking, skiing, etc.)

  • Duration, distance, elevation, and calories

  • GPS routes and maps

  • Heart rate data throughout the workout

  • Power, cadence, and running dynamics when available

Health Metrics

  • HRV - Heart rate variability (daily SDNN values)

  • Sleep - Total sleep time, sleep stages (deep, light, REM), and sleep efficiency

  • Resting Heart Rate - Daily resting heart rate

  • Steps - Daily step count

  • Active Calories - Calories burned per day

Connecting Apple Health

  1. Open Account Settings β†’ Apps & Devices

  2. Tap Connect next to Apple Health

  3. Grant permissions when prompted by iOS

  4. Your last 30 days of data will sync automatically

How Syncing Works

  • First sync: Pulls your last 30 days of health data

  • Ongoing sync: Automatically syncs every 15 minutes

  • Workouts: Appear within minutes of completing them on your Apple Watch

No manual sync needed - everything happens automatically in the background.

Disconnecting

  1. Go to Account Settings β†’ Apps & Devices

  2. Tap Disconnect next to Apple Health

Troubleshooting

If data isn't appearing:

  • Check iOS Settings β†’ Health β†’ Data Access to ensure SteadyState has permission

  • Try disconnecting and reconnecting the integration

  • Make sure you're granting all the permissions when connecting

Requirements

  • iOS only - Android support coming later

  • iPhone with Apple Health app

  • Apple Watch recommended for best workout tracking
